Remanufactured Parts

Remanufactured engine parts can be a very cost effective way to perform repairs or complete a rebuild. In a typical overhaul, big pieces like the crankshaft, connecting rods, camshaft, cylinder block and cylinder head often don’t require complete replacement. The remanufacturing process itself consists of stripping the OEM component down, cleaning it, checking it for wear, confirming tolerances and reassembling the replaceable wear parts. With the wear parts addressed, remanufactured parts can be equivalent to brand-new at a fraction of the price.

For example, a remanufactured connecting rod will be inspected for bend and twist, thoroughly cleaned via hot tank or chemical jet wash, machined to OEM specs and treated to fresh big and small end rod bearings. Large hard-parts like this, which are often made of forged-steel, lose none of their original strength in undergoing the remanufacturing process.
